Can I check out items from other libraries?
Yes! At this time, our interlibrary loan system has resumed. Materials typically take 1-2 weeks to arrive.
Is there a limit on the number of items I can check out?
We have not set a limit on the number of items a patron may check out, but may revise our procedures as necessary.
I want to check out books, but I usually browse for materials. Can someone help me select something to read?
Yes! If you’re not sure what to read, call us at 815-772-7323 or email ask.odell.library@gmail.com and request reader’s advisory. Please tell us which authors you usually enjoy or even what to steer clear of. Maybe there’s a certain topic you’re interested in or a favorite genre. Give us as many details as possible and we will gather a selection of materials to try. This service is available for adults and children alike!
