Summer Reading Club

Children’s Summer Reading Club

Odell Summer Reading Club, sponsored by the United Way of Whiteside County, is open to children entering preschool through 8th grade. Summer Reading Club encourages children to continue reading over the summer break by offering fun and educational enrichment activities. Registration is REQUIRED, but you need not be a library card holder to participate.

Our 2021 Summer Reading Club theme is “Reading COLORS Your World.” We have chosen a hybrid model of programming this year; Nearly all activities can be picked up from the library and completed at home, but will also attempt some outdoor tie-dying! Unlike one year ago, the library IS open to the public (Hooray!) which means you’ll have thousands of books at your fingertips this summer! Remember, if you visit the library, we ask that you wear a face mask and keep visits short.

Please know that dates and activities may change throughout the summer as new guidelines become available. Help your child’s mind stay sharp this summer and sign up today!
